On the 30th of September 2010, the first black-owned Harley-Davidson dealership in South Africa celebrated their official launch. The dealership opened in Boksburg in the East Rand of Johannesburg and is owned by Sean Shipalana and Aubrey Mkhabela.
Invited VIP guests included the likes of Jack Devnarain from Isidingo and celebrated the night away with members from the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) while enjoying entertainment from Sangoma and his band Tokyo Groove. The evening also included Harley representatives showcasing the iconic Harley motorcycles dressed in the latest collection Harley-Davidson motorclothes.
Sean Siphalana ended the opening celebrations of the latest Harley-Davidson dealership with a fitting statement “The Harley-Davidson brand represents passion, freedom of expression, individuality, independence and adventure and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”
